Pressure Sensitive Devices

Ambit Corporation's Pressure Sensitive Devices technology has been sold.

From simple keyboards, to furniture and auto interiors, to clothing and sports equipment, AMBIT Corporation's Pressure Sensitive technology allows designers to incorporate human-responsive surfaces that control equipment, adjust to varying forces, and provide touch feedback for a variety of consumer and industrial applications.

Our low mass, flexible sensing surfaces excel where light weight, low cost and portability are important. These environmentally sealed sensors respond to touch and can be deployed to extend the use of many existing and new products, including:

Notebook and handheld computers: where both keyboarding and mouse functions may be incorporated into one intuitive typing surface that does not require an additional touchpad or other peripheral input device.

Wearable and body fitting electronics:
designed to report on the position of proportional forces encountered in gaming, sports and medical sensing applications.

Wet or hostile conditions, where our single use, impermeable membrane sensors keep fluids out and are easily and quickly deployed.

Furniture and other body-supporting sensors that can detect and measure weight, pressure, and movements, including respiration and heart rate, in three dimensions if desired.
